Friday Foto
1) Taken around the holidays 2006
2) In my dining room
3) Nothing about this photo is really great in photographic elements.
4) This is a picture of my husband and his best friend. The one friend whose loyalty he's never had to question. A friend whom I would entrust many lives. A friend that died 24 hours ago.
5) Named: "Norman" - We love you!

Just a daily thing
I love my job... Have I said that lately? Well, it's even more prevelent now. I love being able to have a doctor's appt whenever I need. Like yesterday I told my boss how I was feeling and he automatically started giving me a check over. All of our patients were gone for the day so we just did it at the front desk. Unfortunately he couldn't do anything for me because it was so early on he couldn't tel which string of the crud it was going to turn into.
My chest HURTS. Not so much my throat but my chest. All the way into my back. I turned on the humidifier last night and took some tylenol. I woke up a little early this morning and took an extra long, steamy shower. It seemed to sooth, but I still feel horrible.
On the up side... We may be heading to Hays tomorrow. Jerrad went Friday for a Spra-Coupe seminar and killed the rest of the day with my dear friend, Maggie. They went to a music store and he got to play around with an electric fiddle. He is hooked! So we are scraping up some pennies and hopefully going to buy that for him tomorrow. This has been a dream of his for quite sometime and I am so happy it's coming true for him! Well, I had better go get ready for work. If I make it through today I should be okay cuz I get tomorrow off.

Mocha Cream Cake
I always ask Jerrad what he wants for Valentine's day and he always tells me the same thing. He just wants a nice evening with me. It truly is the one day a year to be romantic for him! He isn't smooth like Casanova, but he is honest. I usually do some ethnic thing. Like the first year we were married we had Italian because spaghetti was cheap. The next year we had Chinese because we had no table and were going to eat off of the coffee table. Last year we had mexican because I was working a lot and it was easy. This year I wanted to do something more "earthy" and don't ask me to describe that to you! We are having Rosemary Mustard pork loin with fresh green beans and roasted potatoes. We always have sparkling cider in my pretty wine glasses and a nice dessert. I made this last spring and it was very yummy! It is very worth the time! Try it out sometime!
Mocha Cream Cake = YUM!!
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup mayo
3 tbsp. oil
1 cup brewed, hot, strong coffee
2 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup semisweet chocolate morsels (I used special dark)
Preheat oven to 350. Combine first six ingredients. Add mayo and oil; beat with mixer at low speed until well blended. Slowly add brewed coffee and vanilla; beat at low speed 1 minute or until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips. Pour batter into a 13x9 inch pan coated with cooking spray. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Cool completely.
Mocha Cream -
1/2 cup brewed, hot, strong coffee
1 (7 oz.) jar marshmallow cream
1 (8 oz.) container cool whip
1/3 cup chocolate syrup (Hershey's)
Combine coffee and marshmallow cream; beat with mixer at low speed until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Spread over cooled cake; drizzle with chocolate syrup. Chill until ready to serve.

You know when you live in a small town...
Shannon: I need to go clean my living room in case the guy coming over to visit Steve cares.
Me: Why are they going to your house?
Shannon: Well, it's either our house or Beau and Julie's house.
Me: Ooooh! They're even crazier than you guys...
Shannon: Nah, they're not crazier, they just have less teeth!

A day in Garden
My best friend, Candice, and I went shopping today. What a lovely time we had! We have friendship traditions that we must practice everytime we are together. Sad thing is that most (ok all) of them include food!
For instance, Sonic is a tradition that started in college. It's just not the same going anywhere else just for a drink. It's never as good and there are never as many options. Another tradition since college is going to Taco Bell. She wants a Beef Grilled Stuft Burrito and I want a Chicken Grilled Stuft Burrito with no pico. Another one that stemmed from college and blossomed later on was coffee. A good coffee shop is hard to find. I like coffee, but Candice LOVES it and really gets into it. I don't know the lingo so I find it akward and almost embarassing when it comes to ordering coffee. If I had the same taste, I'd just say "I'll have that too!" but I like different ones than her.
We started off the day at IHOP. We finally got one within several hours of my house!!! Yummy! Then hit several hot spots in Garden including Target (angels were singing!), Sam's and unfortunately we went to Wal-Mart... On a Saturday afternoon... and I didn't kill anyone! Aren't you all proud! As much as I despise Wal-Mart, I realize in our desolate area it is a necessary evil.
I had to get a new mouse for the computer. Ours was communicating to many clicks and it almost got me into some trouble. I decided that since I needed a new mouse I'd get a wireless mouse and keyboard. I hate wires strewn everywhere and this would help cut down on that! So I got a new set and it turns out the keyboard is identical to my former keyboard just in a different color. So explain to me then, why I can't type on the stupid thing! Anyway, I do love having a wireless mouse!
We went to a little scrapbook shop in which Candice could've maxed out Donald Trump's credit card provided they had enough stuff for her to do so. I had fun looking. I'm just not ready to do that yet. If I got into writing letters and such, I'd justify doing some cards and stuff. I hate my sloppy handwriting so I don't really like writing letters and cards. I could type it up on the comp and print it out, but I'm too lazy for that.
Next we went to Crazy House. I LOVE Crazy House! It is our western wear store. This is the store I could max out DT's credit card! If I had the guts and the pain threshold, I'd sooooo join the rodeo world! If anything, I'd do it just for the clothes!!! I was in heaven when I went in a saw their women's rodeo shirts were on clearance! I did my best to keep the drool off of the clothes I wasn't going to buy! The whole time Candice (who does not share my love for great western clothes at all) was looking at all the shirts saying "This would make a great scrapbook page!" I ended up only getting a shirt and a pair of jeans. This is by far the most I have EVER spent on any article of clothing other than formal attire. It's sad when a pair of jeans cost almost as much as your senior prom dress! Eeeek! But they're Cruel Girl jeans and I know they're worth it!
As we were out and about we were discussing the next holiday on the calendar and what we had planned. Her hubby is a cop so she never knows what is going on. I thought about lingerie but I am not in the type of a body to be wearing the stuff. I figured a great western shirt and Cruel Girl jeans was enough to get his heart stopped, and I can wear it in public! That just made my jeans dual purpose making their value escalate!
Anyway, Candice and I had a wonderful day. I am so glad she is back on the mainland and close to me again! Hawaii was great for her, and she misses it more everyday, but the little selfish part of me is glad she is back in the dry, forsaken land! Cold sores and all!

Friday Foto
1) Taken Winter '08-'09 (Don't remember what month we actually had snow)
2) Taken at Jerrad's Grandparents' house.
3) The lighiitng is so wintry and the contrast of his mane up against the snow is perfect. You can see every hair... just like my house!
4) This is our puppy, our spoiled rotten, 70 lb puppy. What a cutie!
5) Named "Winter Coat"

One more thing...
I've got this hobby of photography that I'd like to make into a business but am still unsure of myself. I am struggling with 1) If I should come up with a name to start "watermarking" my photos and 2) coming up with a name.
It seems like everyone that gets a new, decent camera these days has to start "watermarking" their pics with a so called photography name. It's like everyone that gets a Pampered Chef stoneware cookie sheet needs to start marketing their cookies. Is it really necessary? Are they really wanting to strike up a business? Am I behind the times and not serious enough because I'm not doing this? And most of all, am I up to shooting with the big dogs?
I have thought about this and even pushed myself into finding a clever name. However, I need to gain more self confidence. I feel like naming a business means that you ought to start marketing and really pushing it into fruition. I don't know that I'm quite ready for that. Maybe I'll just do my family and friends a service of providing great pictures for a low price. <--- That sounded like a bad Walmart commercial, I'm so sorry!
Anyway, those are my thoughts and concerns. Any suggestions or thoughts are welcome! I'm not fishing for compliments because I know I do have some great pictures, but serious critiquing of the matter would be nice.

Confused...
How can you feel so sure about something one day and have your foundation shattered in the matter of a few minutes?
